What is unique about Hopscotch?
Hopscotch providers have experience, training, and expertise in working specifically with the child and adolescent population. Our providers are equipped to help children struggling with various common childhood concerns and mental health conditions. At Hopscotch, in addition to therapy, we’ve also worked with clinical experts to create digital games and activities to support your children with mental health skill-building beyond the clinic setting.

What states are you available in?
We are currently live in the following states: Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia. The person receiving care must reside in one of these states. Don't see your state listed? Click here to get notified when we are live in your state!
What ages do you support?
While all of our providers are vetted to ensure that they have the specific expertise and credentials to work with children and teens, many of our providers also support adults.
Do you offer in-person appointments?
Currently, most of our providers are performing telehealth visits, but we are quickly expanding our provider base to accommodate in-person visits.
What will therapy look like?
Once you create an account, you and your child will be able to access sessions from your dashboard after logging in. Sessions are conducted using a HIPAA-compliant Zoom link. You will be required to attend the first session to provide background information to your child's therapist.
Your therapist will let you know how often they recommend meeting with your child. Though your presence may not be required in every session, communication with your therapist is important in seeing progress in treatment. What conditions or concerns do you treat?
Our providers treat many different conditions and concerns including: Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), Depression, Attachment Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), ADHD, Psychotic Disorders, Personality Disorders, ODD, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Tourette Syndrome, Substance Use/Abuse, Intellectual Developmental Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder
Do you prescribe medication or offer medication management?
Our Hopscotch clinicians are unable to prescribe medications. We have many practitioners accepting new patients who may be able to serve your child's therapeutic needs. If you want to explore that option, navigate to our directory and look at the therapists licensed to see patients in your state.
How do I make a therapy appointment? What will therapy with a Hopscotch provider look like?
How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your provider at least 24 hours in advance on the Hopscotch platform. If you cancel within 24 hours of an appointment or there is a no-show, you may be charged the $50 cancel/no-show fee.
How do I know if my appointment has been confirmed?
Hopscotch will send a notification to your registered email address when the therapist has confirmed your appointment request. It will contain the therapist’s name, the person attending therapy, and the date and time of the appointment. It will also contain a secure Zoom link to participate in the session.
How much do sessions cost?
Your payment responsibility can be found on the provider’s profile page you are interested in working with. If the provider is in-network with your insurance, you can use the Care Cost Estimator on the page to determine the cost of sessions. If the provider is self-pay only, their rates will be reflected on their profile page as well. Payment will be required after the completion of each session. NOTE: While we provide an estimate, we ask all caregivers to contact their insurance company directly for exact cost information.
Do you accept my insurance?
Our current list of providers accepts these insurance plans. If we are out-of-network with your plan, we can provide you with the documentation (i.e - superbill) that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Granted that you’ve met your deductible, many plans reimburse for up to 70% of sessions. Please note, this does not apply for Medicaid/Medicare. When do I have to pay for sessions?
You will be charged once the clinician that you are working with verifies the session. This may occur a day after the session occurs, or up to 2 weeks after the session has happened. You will receive an email notifying you that your card will be charged 24 hours before we collect payment.
