How do I begin therapy for myself or my family?
Begin your search here, and enter your state and insurance. You will be presented with a list of providers that are able to provide therapy to you or your child. You can visit the profiles of each provider and request an appointment with any provider you feel would be the best fit. The provider then reviews your information and contacts you to schedule your first appointment. If your request is declined, our support team is there to quickly help you get connected to another provider.
Do Hopscotch providers accept insurance?
Hopscotch is currently in network with a select number of insurance plans. We're working hard to add more plans soon. If your plan is not listed, you can start with self-pay, and our team can help you with out-of-network reimbursement.
How much will therapy cost?
Your payment responsibility for visits will be determined by how you choose to pay for visits. If you choose to pay out-of-pocket/self-pay, you can find our self-pay rates here. If you choose to pay through insurance, your payment responsibility will be determined by your plan benefits.
Before your first visit, we submit your insurance details to your plan and then share your estimated payment responsibility. Please note: your final payment responsibility can only be determined after the claim is processed by your insurance. We recommend you also contact your insurance plan yourself to request an estimate for your visit.
Is Hopscotch therapy virtual or in person?
Right now, the majority of our providers are performing telehealth visits, but we are quickly expanding our provider base to accomodate in-person visits as well.
What does therapy look like?
Once you create an account, you will be able to access sessions from your dashboard after logging in. If doing a virtual session, sessions are conducted using a HIPAA-compliant Zoom link. If your child is receiving care, you will be required to attend the first session to provide background information to your family's therapist.
Your therapist will let you know how often they recommend meeting with you or your family. Though your presence may not be required in every session, if your child is the one receiving care, communication with your therapist is important in seeing progress in treatment.
